Neptune aspected to the other planets: inspiring and creative
If Neptune is aspected to the other planets in a person’s chart, it can mean an inspiring and creative, even genius person. Imagine Mozart or da Vinci; their works are certainly otherworldly, but both men were extremely practical and down-to-earth as well. The combination of Neptune with other planets provides the inspiration to create something really different, which can lead to huge success if appropriately channeled.
However, if Neptune occupies houses that are traditionally considered weaker (houses 2, 5, 7, 8 and 12), then it could mean that the person has a tendency towards self-deception in those areas of life. These same houses have been traditionally associated with artists and musicians; when a person is able to express positively through art or music they may actually find their self-deception transformed into positive self-expression.
Neptune has to be aspected
The key is that Neptune has to be aspected, or connected by hard or easy angles to planets in the birth chart for it to have any real significance. This usually happens when Neptune is closely associated with one of the personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars) in terms of sign placement and proximity.
…or not much is going to happen with your Neptunian talents
So, if it’s not your Sun sign that is being influenced by Neptune (and only about one in every fourteen people have their Sun sign in Pisces), you will be experiencing these Neptunian energies and sensitivities somewhere in your chart. This means that the house where Neptune resides will indicate the area of life where your Neptunian talents can be used for good or bad. The sign where Neptune resides will indicate the modality of your energies, whether they be cardinal, fixed or mutable and therefore how you go about expressing those energies.
Neptune n a positive aspect
The aspects are the angles of correlation between the planets. Planets that are in aspect to each other form a relationship and their energy is integrated (or inhibited) by the type of aspect they form. Aspects establish communication between two or more planets, either harmoniously or discordantly. They show how planetary energies work together or against one another.
Positive aspects are trines, sextiles, and conjunctions. Negative aspects are squares, oppositions, and quincunxes. All minor aspects (semi-sextile and quincunx – 150 degrees; semi-square and sesquiquadrate – 135 degrees; quintile – 72 degrees; biquintile – 144 degrees; novile – 40 degrees; decile – 36 degrees) have been known to have an effect on a natal chart as well, but they’re generally not used in predictive astrology because their influence is not as clear or potent as major aspects. Major aspects will be more influential than minor ones. For example: If Mars makes a conjunction with Uranus in your natal chart it will be more potent than if Neptune made a sextile with Jupiter in your natal chart (assuming all other things are equal).
The house where Neptune resides
Neptune in the first house indicates that you are more sensitive to the spiritual world. You tend to be intuitive and find yourself drifting off into fantasy worlds, where your dreams can become reality.
Neptune in the second house indicates that you have a heightened awareness of creative resources and have an appreciation for beauty and art. Your tendency to daydream about your financial future may lead you to believe that your wealth is much greater than it actually is. This quality could cause some financial problems if you do not keep yourself grounded.
You’re a genius? Find out where your Neptune is located
If you want to find out if you’re a genius, look at your birth chart to find out where your Neptune is located.
Neptune is the planet of illusion. It’s not the planet of genius, and it will not reveal your genius in any way. So if you see Neptune in your birth chart, don’t worry – it just means that you have a lot of imagination and good instincts.
